On my own personal quest for physical fitness I was asked by my current instructor if I'd be willing to take over her class due to her decision to move back to Germany. Never one to see myself as a fitness guru, this made me nervous, but I ultimately said yes.
My hope is that this new endeavor will help others as well as myself achieve better health, and stretch my current skill set in new and positive ways.

I love art. It has been my passion since early childhood. Because of this, I enjoy what I do and I always strive to do my best. By making you look good, I look good.
I finally took the leap in August of 2007 and purchased my own equipment for at home use. I have been busy ever since.

While notifying a company that a Rider Bennett, LLP seminar had been cancelled (due to the decision to close the firm itself), I was asked if I was the person who handled the design work for Rider Bennett. In answering yes, I was asked if I would be interested in working for this company.
Two years have flown by. I now handle all design work, as well as help in a number of other areas for this company. It has truly been a blessing.

Rider Bennett, LLP, was a full service law firm which delivered legal services to its clients from 1960-2007.
At Rider Bennett I worked for two years as the member of a five person marketing department. As the sole in-house designer for a firm that averaged 130 attorneys, I did a variety of projects. My primary role was to design everything from RFPs and magazine ads to complete seminar collateral—invitations, posters, booklets, CDs, etc.). I worked one-on-one with attorneys, vendors and staff to create print and interactive design. I was responsible for maintaining brand identity and handling all aspects of print production. Aside from design, I helped coordinate internal and external events with as many as 250 guests, maintain the firm database, and assist the Marketing Director with a variety of tasks.
While at Rider Bennett, LLP for only a short time, I expanded my design skills, gained valuable interpersonal skills, and most importantly made great connections.

Image Arrangers was a design firm in south Minneapolis which specialized in package design.
I worked in conjunction with print CSRs, graphic designers and pre-press to ensure that packages were properly designed. My main role was as a production artist, but because Image Arrangers was a small company doing a large quantity of work, I wore a number of hats. I helped do design work, did a large amount of preflighting, helped with photo retouching and scanning, and helped output prints aside from my primary role as a production artist.
My time at Image Arrangers has proven to be invaluable. I now know what is necessary to ensure a client ends up with optimal printing results with the least amount of hassle. I can create elaborate die-lines that any printer will be able to understand and produce, and I worked on projects for a number of big name clients such as Target, Novartis and Dairy Queen which helped me to better understand the business of printing and design.

While still finishing my degree in Graphic Design a fellow classmate of mine (Dan Behrens), who had already graduated from The Art Institutes International, Minnesota, contacted me to see if I would be willing to help the company he was working for with some freelance design. I worked on an as needed basis doing creative design and production art for Ant Farm Incorporated.
