The solution was a finalist in the Government-to-citizen category of the 2004 Digital Government Achievement contest held by the Center for Digital Government.
• Re-architected the Java-based Data Access Layer in a multi-million dollar marketing project at a Fortune 100 beverage company. Highlights of the re-architected system include a componentized architecture that utilizes Object-to-Relational (O/R) mapping, a sophisticated in-memory data caching algorithm, and a highly re-factored code base to maximize reusability and ease of maintenance.
• Served as the Enterprise Architect for a $2B division of a Fortune 10 company to establish their technology strategy and realign their IT organization to achieve better agility.
• Led a SWAT team to diagnose and improve performance issues of a major e-commerce application built using Microsoft technologies including MTS/COM+ and Visual Basic resulting in a performance improvement from over 60 seconds per transaction to less than five seconds a transaction.
• Led numerous architecture reviews/assessments to validate the architecture/design, identify violations of commonly accepted best practices, assist in technology selection/ justification, and troubleshoot performance and scalability related issues. -
