Before applying to business school, I served in several positions of increasing responsibility with the Boys & Girls Clubs in Virginia. Ultimately, I was promoted to the position of Unit Director at a newly established location in Chesapeake, VA, where I was responsible for fundraising, employee and budget management, and program implementation and evaluation. In pursuing my MBA at the University of Michigan, I remained focused on the field of nonprofit management, taking leadership roles in several social change centered clubs and organizations. In addition, I have forged a strong connection with numerous agencies in Southeastern Michigan, having completed consulting projects for ShoreBank Enterprise Detroit, Lighthouse CDC, Michigan Future, and the Salvation Army Eastern Michigan Division. I have recently entered the field of philanthropy, where I help to advance the foundation's objectives within the realm of public policy.
