Born in Israel and raised in San Francisco, Tamar discovered acting at age 12 where she trained at the Young Conservatory of the American Conservatory Theatre. After graduating with a theatre degree from NYU, Tamar performed throughout New York City, until she was cast in Black Prince, Best Feature Film Winner at the 2004 New York International Independent Film and Video Festival. She moved to Los Angeles in 2004, and has appeared in multiple indie films, stage productions and commercials. Tamar co-wrote, produced and starred in Good Luck In Her Eye, which has screened at The Liberty Film Festival, LA Shorts Fest, The Cannes Short Film Corner, and the AOF International Film Festival. Tamar is currently performing in the ongoing Rag Dolls Burlesque Review, considered one of LA’s best burlesque shows.

Tamar trained at The Young Conservatory Theatre in San Francisco, and received a theatre degree from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU.
Previous roles include Idalya Politika, in the award winning feature film, Black Prince, THE BFG in Flip Side Theatre's Frack To Bunt, Della in Armen.
Tamar is a winner of the Stand-Up NY Funniest Actor Contest, and was a quarter finalist in the National Fade In Screentest Competition, for her solo comedy sketches and her one-woman show, How To Marry a Rich Jewish Man.
As a trained mezzo-soprano, Tamar has held several recitals in New York and San Francisco.
Tamar's short film Good Luck In Her Eye was the official selection at The LA Shorts Fest, The Cannes Short Film Corner, The Liberty Film Festival and the AOF International Film Festival.
She is always looking for roles that inspire, amuse and create a ripple of change in the World.
