Software Engineer & Biz Exec
Miami/Fort Lauderdale Area
I have my own IT consulting & software development business.
I'm an expert LAMP developer / software engineer with 7+ years of experience in the web development and engineering field (PHP, MySQL, OOP, etc).
My specialty is being the architect of several enterprise-class high-volume high-availability service-oriented architectures. I'm very structured in my approach to development and understanding of software layers, bottlenecks, run-time complexities and best practices. I focus on separation of business logic and presentation logic and am an expert with software design patterns.
I am expert-level with Drupal, Alfresco and other name-brand CMS's, and have also engineered entire CMS frameworks myself. I have used Drupal to store and manage documentation, requirements and specifications, and Alfresco to manage raw data content (such as media files) with its replication capabilities. I also built an entire CRM/CMS from the ground up for MedCenter Canada, which was the basis for the paperless system I created for them, managing millions of paperless faxes and other medical documents.
A previous position was lead software engineer for a Johnson & Johnson company. During this 1-year contract I designed, prototyped, developed and re-factored a Web 2.0 Gen-2 product architecture designed to transform health-care for diabetics and be used by millions of people. I'm an engineer with experience building systems to large scale, and have used various topologies such as data pods, clusters and shards.
I have management experience and am very familiar with the software development life cycle (SDLC), being expert with different approaches such as Waterfall and Agile.

Improved many inefficiencies in development practices and introduced an agile development process bring to an end many years of stale and disappointing promises. Senior Software Engineer for Andiamo Systems, a leader in word-of-mouth brand measurement/monitoring.
