This position's major areas of responsibilities include working with the library's integrated library system (Unicorn), providing system administration support for the library systems, serving on system-wide library committees, and assisting in developing and enhancing current library services.

-Manages the Sirsidynix Unicorn collection management software system, its UNIX server and over 80 staff clients (Windows 2000/XP). Supports staff in the use of over 20 different software packages including Unicorn Workflows, OCLC, Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox , the public PC access management system, print recovery system by Envisionware along with many other software products.
-Assures normalized access and support for over 175 public PCs offering internet access and a full Microsoft Office suite. Assures public access the library's to numerous databases as well as services to remote users online and via automated phone services.
-Actively participates in the creation of technology plans and budgets. Recommends standards for purchasing and implementing the use of equipment and software. Writes class plans and support documents and delivers training on all technology products in use in the library for all the library staff.
