Very good understanding of several aspects of ICT, in particular programming (PHP, .NET), web design and web development, system design and operating systems.
Several years of experience from e-learning through both distance education and classroom teaching in higher education. A broad range of practically minded research on e-learning, especially on how to use ICT in a more pedagogical, creatively way.
Regularly invited to seminars and conferences to speak on "pedagogical use of LMS-systems" or other aspects of e-learning. Sharing teaching experiences is fruitful and stimulates my work as a teacher to experience even further.
Author of the first Norwegian book on PHP programming, 408 pages (Gyldendal Akademisk/TISIP) in 2004.
Have developed several courses for higher education: "Web programming in PHP", "Programming in Visual Basic .NET", "Web 2.0 and Ajax", and parts of the courses "Web technologies" and "Web programming in ASP.NET". I think security issues should be important aspects of any programming course.
Central in the development of a web based tool to support the life cycle of assessment with multiple choice tests.
In 2007, I was leading a project on how teachers can better use multiple choice tests in education. I have also participated in several e-learning projects.
I enjoy writing. I enjoy creating. I enjoy producing. My goal is high quality material, be it for learning, research, personal usage or just for fun. I often put my soul into my projects, and therefore find myself learning new things all the time. I am inspired by the "Web 2.0-way", creating, producing, organizing and sharing using blogs, wikis, podcasts and a handful of useful web services to support my work. Efficiency and quality is important.
If I were to change job sometime, I would like to be able to use my creative skills and my understanding on ICT to produce, develop and learn.
