Originally from North Carolina, I have lived in Israel for the most part since 1981. Over the years, I have come to know the country quite well, was associated with the Israel Voluntary Tourist Service and worked as the Jerusalem Representative for a major tour operator which brings regular group & private tours to Israel.
I have guided private walking & driving tours, small & large group tours by bus, AACI Holiday Walking Tours and introduced family & friends to some of my favorite spots in Jerusalem and throughout Israel.
After completing the intensive 2-year course of lectures, field trips, report writing, research, reading, practice guiding, and exams on top of exams (whew!), in 2000, I graduated from the Archaeological Seminars Tour Guide School.
Now, I'm a licensed tour guide and tourism consultant, giving walking tours of Jerusalem and driving & bus tours all over the country, helping people with their plans to visit & answering questions about Israeli life.

The Israeli Tour Guide School consists of two years of very intense study of the history, archaeology, anthropology, art & architecture, religion, politics, and every other possible aspect of life in Eretz Yisrael "from time immemorial" to today! This study includes classroom lectures with experts in different fields presenting the material in a creative and interesting way; extensive required reading; on-site study through the country; report writing; practice guiding; exams; and more... And one who gets accepted into the Israeli Tour Guide School cannot come with absolutely no experience or understanding, so a solid background of knowledge must be present as well as a genuine desire to share this country with visitors from all backgrounds, cultures and experiences.
