Carlin & Ward, P.C.
Marketing, Communications, and Development Director:
Susan Ward's contributions to the firm are in writing, editing, and technology. Her creative use of internet technology has earned the firm an international reputation in the niche market of eminent domain law and a place at the top of many search engines. Her foresight enabled the firm to launch the New Jersey Eminent Domain Law Blog before the Kelo case was decided by the U.S. Supreme Court in 2005. One of the first law firm blogs in New Jersey, The New Jersey Eminent Domain Law Blog focuses on international, national, and regional land acquisition issues, case law and legislation.
The firm is a boutique with an heavy emphasis in eminent domain law and corporate litigation. Attorney teams have successfully contested the right to take in municipal redevelopment, negotiated settlements and obtained substantial verdicts in valuation cases.
Susan writes and speaks about technology, marketing and management. Her articles appear in the New Jersey Law Journal and New Jersey Lawyer Guide to the Internet. "Preparing for Web 2.0," was the cover story in the NJLJ Technology Section (Aug. 17, 2007) and was posted on law.com as "Web 2.0 Won't Eat Your Mouse." "Hitting the Links" first appeared in the NJLJ and as "Top Blogs Hit All the Right Links" (Mar. 6, 2008).
