I've hosted social networking and tech events in Boston since 1998. It all started with a sushi dinner party for web cohorts in town for the Web98 conference.
In 2000 I organized The Geek Pride Festival at the Boston Park Plaza Castle.The 12-hour event was attended by 3,000 people and included celebrity geek speakers, a 500-person Quake tournament, bands, chair massages, hacking stations, giveaways and more. Press included ABC News, MIT Technology Review, CTO Magazine, CIO Magazine, The Boston Herald, The Boston Globe and The Boston Phoenix. From 1999-2004 I hosted Free Agent Boston, a network of people working solo or in small groups. (Returning Jan 2008.)
In 2002 I created ExploitBoston.com, an event blog about happenings in Boston plus an internet radio station featuring Boston bands.
In 2006 and 2007 I was a co-organizer of Podcamp Boston, coordinating the registration desk.

Company founders are Dries Buytaert, the original creator and project lead of the Drupal open source web content management system, and Jay Batson, previously founder and CEO of Pingtel.

Event planner for Drupalcon Boston 2008, March 3-6 at the Boston Convention & Expo Center. Drupalcon is the twice-yearly gathering of Drupalers to learn about, discuss & advance Drupal (an open source content management system) and to network with other Drupal community members.
I coordinated all logistics for the conference. 850+ people attended the four day conference. 125+ people participated in the Drupal Code Sprint at MIT.
