Sunny is also a food columnist. The majority of the photographs that appear in print and on the Internet are captured by Sunny.

As a journalist, she has penned more than 2000 articles and features in newspapers and magazines and online. Her newspaper and magazine columns included Community Kudos, Palate Patrol (restaurant reviews), Weekend Chef, Sunny's Southwest, and Cafe Hopping. Sunny is the author of four nonfiction southwestern books. Produced in New Mexico, the program aired nationwide.
