Timothy Sullivan's Summary
I am a freelance writer and editorial consultant with 35 years of experience in print and broadcast journalism. Formerly a senior vice president at truTV (Turner Broadcasting), I worked for 18 years at the Courtroom Television Network (Court TV) as a news executive, producer and correspondent. Prior to that, I was an editor/writer with American Lawyer Media, including two years as editor of Manhattan Lawyer magazine. I hosted approximately 40 installments of Court TV Morning, a three-hour talk show on Sirius satellite radio, in 2006-07. I was the on-air correspondent at the Oklahoma City Bombing Trials for “The Newshour with Jim Lehrer” on PBS in 1994. As a freelance writer since 2010, I have been a contributor to Technorati (book reviews) and WNYC radio (politics).

The 1990 convictions against the Central Park Five were overturned in 2002. Ten years earlier, my book wrongly concluded that the guilty verdicts had been valid. But the book also presents an accurate record of the flawed interrogations, trials and jury deliberations. When the case was reopened in 2002, The New York Times described the book as "an authoritative account of the trials."
