Mitch is an unusual fellow, to say the least. He grew up your typical cyber-geek, enjoying his usual delvings into Pen&Paper RPG's, Magic: The Gathering, video games, and (his true love) competitive speech and debate. In college, Mitch worked as a jack-of-all-trades to pay his way through school, first becoming a Television Anchor, a computer lab teacher, a bartender (and trivia guru) and finally settled into the Creative Director position of Murray State's "Shield" yearbook.
After college, Mitch moved to Nashville with his lovely wife to do what most college graduates do: burn through crappy sales/marketing jobs until he found his true destiny: graphic design. It wasn't a total conversion; Mitch had been freelancing for most of his college life, but never really saw it as an opportunity for a career. However, a few good freelancing jobs led to his acceptance of life as an artist, and he quickly attained a position at the Tennessee Baptist Convention where he worked for... four months. Little did he know he would be replaced so quickly.
But, like most success stories, every tragic hero has to have a bad turn... how else can things get better? After leaving the Baptist Convention, Mitch founded studio nashvegas with one principle in mind: Modern Design meeting Southern Hospitality. Not any of this fake-sympathy most designers leave behind, but an honest-to-goodness want to connect with his clients. He had seen too many designers become what he never wanted to: interested in only the paycheck, and not the person.
Mitch volunteers at The Peoples Church in Franklin, TN as a middle-school youth worker, and believes in giving back to the community and to those who helped him and his family as the times were tough. Now, with a new addition to the family showing up in a few months, more than ever he knows what the true model of a successful business is founded on: relationships.
