Mr. Kim Korn founded Business Architecture, Inc. (BAi) in 2003. His company specializes in competitive advantage. Kim guides business organizations in the development of their advantage creation competency. Without this competency, an organization's days are numbered as creative destruction continually sweeps through the economy.
Kim employs his twenty plus years of experience in corporate and business strategy and his learning from many years of research to guide clients to a higher level of performance enabled by their ability to develop their competitive advantage and to renew advantage as necessary. In guiding clients, he acts as a consultant, provocateur, educator, facilitator, and coach.
BAi's Create Advantage approach focuses on the effective management of the paradox of exploration and exploitation, the two factors necessary for long-term business enterprise viability. Mastery of symmetrical exploration and exploitation is at the core of an advantage competency.
An assessment tailors the advantage creation experiences to a firms’ specific needs. The Advantage Architecture provides the basis for competency development. BAi collaborates with the organization leadership team, complementing their skills and style, to develop their unique advantage creation competency.
Prior to forming BAi, Kim's career involved over 20 years of strategy formation, strategy deployment, business transformation, and new business development. This includes strategy development and deployment, product and technology development, business unit formation, business transformation, large scale new business development, and new business start ups.
Kim held several positions at Andersen Corporation (Andersen Windows) and was a consultant with Andersen Consulting (Accenture).
Kim earned an MBA in Finance and Information Systems from the University of Iowa.
