Currently working in a Consultancy capacity as Project Director for an Italian based Travel organisation. I am implementing an on-line booking solution for their B2B and B2C channels. The project includes the provision of this solution to Mastercard Italy.
The Internet Booking Engine can book the following components:
Flights (scheduled & low cost)
Hotels (in excess of 20 bed suppliers)
Car Hire (in excess of 13 car suppliers)
Flight+Car
Flight+Hotel
The IBE has recently been developed to allow Dynamic Packages to be booked.
The IBE is currently being enhanced to include a bespoked piece of development which incorporates Mastercard's 3D-Secure.
The application is a fantastic solution for small, medium and large travel companies that are looking for the next step to selling both 3rd party and own stock (with Business Rules) on the internet.
The IBE is multi-lingual and multi-currency.
Please contact me if you would like to know more about this solution.

In 2001, Citalia became part of First Choice, the leading European leisure travel company comprising mainstream and specialist tour operations, travel retail and aviation businesses. In order to meet increasing competition, Citalia needed to modernise its operations and exploit the power of the internet.
The Solution
Citalia’s head of IT, Severino Traetto, had worked with Modcomp before and was confident that Modcomp had the necessary skills and commitment to integrate the company’s legacy systems to the web.
Conclusion
“We were very pleased with Modcomp’s application and we wouldn’t hesitate to work with them again,” said Citalia’s head of IT, Severino Traetto. “The team went beyond delivering what we asked for and brought new ideas to the table, so it has been a very good partnership.”
Citalia’s new online presence will enable it to increase sales on a day-to-day basis. Its expectation is that internet bookings will eventually make up 30 per cent of its business.
