I have spent my career in community and influencer marketing. It's something I know very, very well and am equally passionate about.
The firm I co-founded, ComBlu (www.comblu.com) is a global leader in community and influencer marketing. We founded the firm in 2003. ComBlu is a charter member of the Word of Mouth Marketing Association and I have been instrumental in a number of important best-practice initiatives.
ComBlu has aided or set the strategy for influencer and community marketing for some of the world's best brands. Currently, we manage over 50 successful global communities in more than three dozen languages for a number of Fortune 500 brands.
We have built our reputation on delivering business results. Not just once as a campaign but delivering community program results as a core business practice; many times across the entire business enterprise.
For some major brands, we literally wrote the WOMM book. For others, we build and align their WOMM/Community best practices, for others we manage components of the entire process globally....across a wide number of business channels...for others we figure out how to turn awareness into engagement...for others, we perform triage or in some isolated cases, clean up a mess.
Outside of my day job, I am the co-founder of Symbios Medical Products (www.symbiosmedical.com) and hold an equity position in this firm. I am a board member and equity holder in several other firms such as Exact Hire (www.exacthire.com) and Me!Box Media (www.meboxmedia.com). Symbios is a medical device firm, Exact Hire is an HRIS SaaS firm and Me!Box Media is a video enablement start-up.
I also sit on the board of trustees for the Indiana University Graduate School of Business Entrepreneurship Hershberger scholarship.
