I have loads of experience doing radio, print and TV interviews as a debt expert, I'm an advice writer, advisor, consultant and counselor.

    October 2007Present (10 months)

Issues of world poverty, lack of clean water, drought, famine and the lack of basic services seem like problems that are too big for any one person to tackle, and they probably are. But what is it that we can do to help people around the world to reinvent themselves to create better opportunities and lives other than simply give money?

More important than money are ideas. Ideas can be much more like a life compass and provide direction for the future rather than just give a small item that solves a need for just today. An idea can change a life, change a family, change a community and change a world.

The website, Business Idea of the Day, provides ideas to spark the imagination and creativity of entrepreneurs around the world. These ideas are as simple as needing a bucket and sponge to start a new business or as complex and highly technical ideas that involve satellites and new technology.

  • President

    Rare Aviation

(Privately Held; 1-10 employees; Airlines/Aviation industry)

    January 2006Present (2 years 7 months)

As a pilot and lover of aviation I felt there was a need to save and archive aviation history. I specialize in the rescue and restoration of WWII gun camera films, production of aviation DVDs and the digital delivery of aviation reference material at http://rareaviation.com .

Probably the best part of creating this group was that I had the pleasure of meeting and getting to know some of the great WWII P-51 pilots. I have loads of footage that I have not had a chance to make public yet.

"Recently Steve Rhode from RareAviation.com came to speak to our group at the Smithsonian National Air & Space Museum. Our members loved his restored films and strongly support his important mission of saving aviation history and making it available to everyone. For those of us who love aviation and aviation history, RareAviation, com is a unique site that everyone must visit."

In addition, Mr. Rhode and I collaborated on the writing of an ophthalmic text (Ophthalmic Technology: A Guide for the Eye Care Assistant,1987) which has been used in ophthalmic assistant training programs throughout the United States.
