Summay: If it's technology used in a backoffice environment I probably know it, with exception to Java/Cold Fusion which I know little about. Very hands on technically with all aspects of BitShop from the beginning.
Most importantly: Business experience. I came from a family owned business working from a young age on the computer systems. Most programmers just don't get "why" when you give them a task (not even talking specs, just tasks). Without them understanding "why" something is needed they can never propose the right things to improve either the technology or perhaps the whole business process. I have a quite distinct background of business combined with knowledge of most technologies used.
I view all technologies from why business needs them, combined with my eternal quest for knowledge in new technologies, and pretty well predict which will be successes in future years. I get involved in betas, develop a few projects on them, then wait for actual "money" to be spent on the technologies. Given that view I have a VERY broad spectrum of knowledge - Feel free to ask me about your technology challenges.
Web Infrastructure - Hosting isn't an accurate description of what we do at BitShop. We provide solutions to your most challenging tasks, from scaling, performance troubleshooting, and even training your programming staff.
I also (personally) will travel for performance testing and troubleshooting nationwide.

My largest goal is to build technology usage amongst fellow clubs to promote the good Rotary does throughout the world.
Between now and July 2010 I intend to visit SEVERAL other clubs and offer them advice to use technology better than they currently are.
I'm available for speaking to clubs or as a resource for web site technologies.

Founded BitShop in 1995, when there was nowhere to host interactive database driven web sites. Some of our first site(s) were SQL Server 4.3 based on IIS when it wasn't even yet publically announced.. Started first IIS Users Group (long ago merged into another group), wrote first (at least on IIS) message board / discussion board with a sql backend using .htx/.idc files in IIS 1.0 beta.. Been hosting Windows Web Servers ever since, including the latest Windows 2008, SQL 2005, ASP.Net 3.5, etc.
new technologies, grid computing, virtualization, iscsi target, iscsi initiator, dfs, bgp, iis, asp.net, sql 2005, sql 2008, zfs.. dirt late models (Stock car racing), 4 wheelers and dirt bikes. I'm not the fisher if you google my name, have raced quite a bit, that one is me.
Microsoft approached me about selling them software to detect and auto recover crashed web servers for IIS 1.0 / NT 4.0. Later they integrated similar solution as service recovery in all current versions of Windows. (Not ours but identical).
One of the first Microsoft IIS & ASP MVPs world wide
Picked as one of the first 12 world wide to see/discuss ASP (before Microsoft had a method to write scripts on web pages).
Invited by Microsoft to design / review board for IIS.
Invited by Microsoft to design / review board for Hyper-V (not beta test, lunch with the team at Redmond, about 100 people were invited world wide).
