I'm a professional developer and blogger with a passion for the Web. Findability, accessibility, interactivity and information all drive me and inform my working style and attitude.
I actually enjoy explaining complex web- and development-related technological issues to laypersons.
Long term, I hope to focus on strategy and organizational direction for a web-based (or at least "web-involved") company, while always keeping a watchful eye and a pair of typing hands on modern trends in front-end, presentation-layer development techniques and best practices.
XHTML, CSS, JavaScript, jQuery, PHP, MySQL, XML, JSON, Subversion, search engine optimization, web standards, copywriting, WordPress, accessibility and best practices (Section 508, WAI), user experience design, use of Linux, MacOSX and Windows platforms, web server administration on Linux

For both sites I wrote XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript for the site frontend.
On CHOW, I dipped my toes into the Rails backend when necessary.
On UrbanBaby, I consulted the rest of the team with their PHP needs, and wrote PHP code from time to time. I translated our designer's work into a full-fledged, dynamic and reusable WordPress theme for the series of UB blogs.
