Lead Linux System Administrator
Greater Denver Area
I come from the programming world. I'm a UNIX/C/C++/perl/PHP/SQL guru who has migrated into the IT industry. I have worked for large and small organizations doing almost everything one can think of that would fall under a system administrator's or programmer's role. I've written drivers, servers, multi-threaded applications, web applications, crawlers, ... I've also architected and put together entire companies from the ground-up. Network, VPN, server design, load-balancing, email admin, dns, app build/deployment, CVS, datacenter negotiations, linux HPC or load-balanced cluster design, Mysql replication admin, ... In small companies, I've even done the little things, like hung whiteboards, electrical work, phone work. I can crimp a cat-5/5e/6 cable with my eyes closed.
See above. :)
