My Bachelor of Science Diploma at Simnet S.A. consists of the industrialization of a software development process in the Open Source world. More precisely, to set up a production chain to automatically build and deploy a video surveillance appliance operating system based on Linux.
It starts with a software development workflow analysis and optimization, using tools like version control systems (Subversion). The second important part was to set up an automated appliance production server to generate Linux distributions on the fly. Finally, the product was analysed from a quality insurance point of view from the very early production stages to the final delivery to customers. -
