MY BACKGROUND & WORK PHILOSOPHY:

In 2004, after graduate school, I left the comforts of my life in Dallas, Texas to see the world and experience other cultures. The move halfway around the globe to a tiny island out in the north Pacific Ocean (called Saipan) changed my life.

The experience working abroad (in education, training & development, and crisis management) with a diverse population combined with a background in counseling & mental health taught me the importance of a P.E.O.P.L.E. Approach:

I'm currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology [the understanding and prediction of how people think, act, and feel in work settings]. I am particularly fascinated by the field of Occupational Health Psychology (OHP), the application of psychology to improving the quality of work life, and to protecting and promoting the safety, health, and well-being of workers.
