Dr. Steven Gelbard has been practicing Neurological Surgery for over 14 years, after 17 years of excellent extensive training, including medical school, internship, residency training, and fellowships. Included in his training, Dr. Gelbard spent time at Harvard University, Brown University, Tufts University, New York University, University of Vermont, and several other excellent institutions of training. Dr. Steven Gelbard performs the full range of Neurosurgical Procedures, including Microsurgery, Laser surgery, lumbar laminectomy, cervical laminectomy, evaluation and treatment of injuries to the brain and spine, surgery for trauma to the brain and spine, reconstructive spinal surgery including spinal instrumentation and fusion, treatment and evaluation of neck pain, back pain, headaches, carpal tunnel syndrome, brain tumors, percutaneous and minimally invasive surgery.

Dr. Steven Gelbard has been practicing Neurological Surgery in Florida for about 14 years. He came to Florida after completing his training program in Neurosurgery. His training includes graduating from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, and an internship in general surgery at New York University. He graduated from the University of Vermont program in Neurosurgery, and included in his training are fellowships in adult and pediatric Neurosurgery at such fine institutions as Brown University and Harvard University. He also has extensive training in spinal reconstructive surgery and microsurgery. Dr. Gelbard is Chief of Neurosurgery at Parkway Regional Medical Center and is a member of the Quality Council and OR committee.
