Technology evangelist, change management and marketing communications professional.
London, United Kingdom
Technology evangelist with unique perspective of vendor and client-side technology issues coupled with excellent human relations and communications skills.
I hold a postgraduate diploma in marketing and have significant experience of marketing strategy and communications, change management, and technology promotion / procurement / deployment - both internationally and in the UK.
I am currently working for a large international development charity, where I am responsible for a technology-led change management programme. This includes full responsibility for business case analysis, procurement and implementation of enterprise technologies in a PRINCE2 environment.
My work has led to significant cultural changes and new ways of working at the charity. Prior to this I worked for a NASDAQ-listed US enterprise software firm in charge of International Marketing - where I instigated significant upturns in media coverage, analyst relations, and sales.
I am well versed in meetings facilitation, creative thinking, conflict resolution and chairing meetings. As such, I am able to work with - and influence - colleagues at all levels of seniority. I am also comfortable presenting to large groups and media contacts - I am consistently rated the best speaker at industry events.
Colleagues describe me as infectiously enthusiastic and hard working. I am known for being able to persuasively articulate the business benefits of technology, and ensuring those benefits are delivered.

A post implementation audit of SharePoint at Christian Aid indicated the project was one of the fastest, and most successful, undertaken by the organisation. Microsoft uses the project as a ‘People Ready’ case study, and a number of other NGOs have copied our approach.
Other initiatives include blogs and podcasting, both of which have achieved considerable success. I also introduced the content management system now responsible for three large websites and have achieved dramatic change in communications.
Additionally, I assist other organisations in a consultancy capacity - most recently working with the Overseas Development Institute.

Headhunted by EXE from my previous employer, I led EXE through a number of key global initiatives as well as leading international marketing planning and execution. I was responsible for the management of external PR and design agencies worldwide, and matrix management of ten other marketing staff (+ 2 direct reports). Annual OpEx budget responsibility circa US$1m.
During this period, I led a worldwide rebrand of EXE using a 'Moments of Truth' framework. This work was completed in conjunction with TrueBrand and Elmwood design.
(Now a division of SSA Global, EXE Technologies was at the time the worldwide leader in supply chain execution software with revenues in excess of US$100m.)
