Background

Summary

After stints in finance and enterprise software, I became an entrepreneur in 1999 and since 2002 have founded and grown 2 companies in one of the most innovative, competitive and rapidly changing industries: online media / interactive marketing. Since then I've planned, managed and measured interactive campaigns for global leaders and emerging challengers in Travel, Apparel, CPG, Retail, Auto and B2B.

I've been fortunate to work with great brands, clients and teammates, while meeting scores of smart and capable professionals around the globe. Along the way I've learned invaluable lessons (usually through my own failures) about people, planning, process and culture. Above all I realized that we never stop learning or growing.

After 9 years in the trenches as founder and ceo of a ROI-driven digital agency, I started Encore Media Metrics in 2011 with the singular focus of helping brands and agencies accurately measure media and optimize digital spend. While we now focus on aggregating and analyzing data, my background in online strategy, media (paid, owned and earned), search, analytics and ROI measurement has been instrumental in understanding and meeting the needs of our clients.

I love the creativity of entrepreneurship and am blessed to be in such an exciting industry. But there's more to life than work and I do my best to smell the flowers along the way. Interests include travel, staying fit, reading fiction, guitar and spending time w/ quality people. Of my achievements, I am especially proud of being awarded Worlds Best Master by my dogs.
