Raja (Royal) Yoga

Small, intimate, friendly classes, in the 8 - limbed path of Astanga (Raja) Yoga, as written by the Sage Patanjali in 200 BC, in the Yoga Sutras, along with other gems of wisdom, beauty, love, and light. Safety and steady progress in yoga will be our goals for every class. Meditation, Centering, Pranayama, Asanas (including Vinyasa Flow), Bandhas, and helping each other will always be important. Classes are challenging, yet balanced for each person. My background is from a variety of yoga schools and yogis spanning over 30 years.

Over 30 years experience in yoga. My teaching is from my experiences and from various yoga schools and yogis over the course of more than 30 years.

I teach Raja (Royal) Yoga, based on the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali.

I am focused on integrating structural integration with yoga, through attention to proper posture, balanced exercise, and stretching Over three years experience as a LMT in the State of Oregon.

My clinical practice follows an integrated approach, utilizing the following massage modalities: Swedish, Deep Tissue, Structural Integration, Zen Shiatsu, Traditional Thai, Chinese (Acupressure and Tui Na), Sports, Medical, Hot and Cold Stone, and Yoga.

I am also proficient in SOAP notes, and tracking progress in working with clients to achieve
goals.

Violinist in Oregon Coast Chamber Orchestra, from 2005 to present. Singer from time to time in various groups. Play Bansuri, Bass (acoustic and electric). I have been involved in performing music most of my life.

Enjoy performing onstage in community theatre, including roles in the musical Cabaret, Shakespeare's Macbeth, and other plays.

I also enjoy dance as a form of creative expression. I have studied Luigi Jazz Dance, Argentine Tango, and other forms of dance.
