Verizon.com
This site launch combined the previous Bell-Atlantic and GTE web sites under one common user experience with a robust set of tools and functionalities.
Vcom Kiosk at 7-Eleven
Vcom is 7-Eleven stores' web-enabled kiosk. Launched in 2003, this new channel targeted an underserved customer base, allowing Verizon customers without computers, credit cards or even bank accounts, to pay their bills at 7-Eleven, as well as use many of the same services offered on Verizon.com.
Verizon Intranet
Standardized hundreds of smaller intranets under one standard platform with a consistent user experience. This intranet served as step-one in merging the different cultures of Bell-Atlantic and GTE.
Continually pushed the creative and technical envelopes by creating a series of XML-based, database-driven Flash experiences for Verizon.com.

Broadcast.com was an innovative pioneer in online media. In my role as Creative Lead, I was responsible for managing, motivating and mentoring a core team dedicated to maintaining, growing, and improving the overall user experience.
I worked directly with Mark Cuban to capture his strategic vision for the site and develop innovative creative solutions that fully brought his vision to life. An early advocate of streaming media and Flash-based solutions, I always pushed the creative and technological limits of the day to deliver a richer experience to the end user.
In 1998, in conjunction with the launch of Microsoft’s Internet Explorer 4.0, I led the effort in designing and developing a streaming media jukebox that resided on the end user’s computer as a desktop component (an early form of a Gadget or Widget). The effort was extremely successful with more than 750,000 units downloaded and installed on users’ computers.
(Public Company; 51-200 employees; Entertainment industry)
1995 — 1998 (3 years )
7th Level was a game development company that pioneered the creation of immersive games based upon feature films, specifically, the work of Monty Python's Flying Circus.
My goal was to create the same type of immersive environment found within these games on the web. Given the state of the web in 1996, this was a real challenge. By embracing FutureSplash (The predecessor to Flash), MP3, and JavaScript, I was able to create an online environment that extended the game experience beyond the original scope of PC game.
From this foundation, a 7-member core-team developed the first streaming animated agent on the web. Branded as “Agent 7”, this technology enabled animated characters to react intelligently to individual viewer interests and guide consumers to and through Web sites to make buying, training and service decisions. Sites could provide personally tailored recommendations to hundreds of customers at the same time with a technology that gets smarter with each interaction.

The brightest light burns half as long.
This is where it all started. From this tiny start-up I discovered what would become my passion in my professional life.. the Web.
Working the Web, regardless of the interface (PC, mobile device, kiosk, or a device yet unknown) is my bliss. The companies I work for have changed but the desire to push the envelope remains. I love what I do.
