Founded as a wholly owned FHA, VA, FNMA, FHLMC, approved mortgage banking company. I supervised the setup of all loan origination, secondary marketing, processing, and the accounting/servicing operations. At its peak “The Exchange” had thirty-two branches and fifteen loan correspondents doing business in four states with 170 employees. We serviced $25,000,000+ for FNMA and $34,000,000 for FHLMC.
My companies made the first FHA Graduated Payment Mortgage. I was involved in the closing of the GNMA 22 (b) Program in 1980, and involved in the creation of the Mortgage Credit Certificate Program that same year. As the Legislative Liaison of the California Association of Residential Lenders, during 1991 I lobbied to maintain the RESPA kickback regulations and we failed. I have served on the City of San Jose's Housing Task Force (1989) and El Dorado County's Housing Tack Force (2007-08).
