Independent Real Estate Professional
Phoenix, Arizona Area
Currently, I work as a real estate agent with Realty Executives, where it's my goal to help clients accomplish their real estate goals. Whether that goal is buying a new home for themselves, buying an investment home to rent, find tenants for their investment homes, or buying other investment properties, like strip centers and/or apartment buildings. That's a broad swath of real estate, but fortunately, I've assembled an outstanding team of agents at my office that work well together, and have the experience to do it all.
Prior to launching my real estate career, I worked as a Software Developer. At times I managed other software developers, while at other times I was the lead developer on a project. During that period of my career, I worked on some very, very big projects.
At American Express one project I worked on developed over 1,000,000 lines of code. After I left the job, I got calls for several years asking if I remembered how this or that worked...often I had never even developed the part in question, but my name tended to get copy-pasted on a lot of things.
At Intel, I learned 2 important things. #1, was how to do the right thing right. Stated in a longer winded way, it's sometimes apparent what the right thing to do is, but it's often difficult to buckle down and do it that way. And #2, was how to be excessively direct. I'm still working on unlearning #2. Bear with me. I had 8 years of training.
I have been told that I am particularly adept at negotiating for success. During my real estate career, I've yet to have a client that wanted a house, not get the house they wanted. My approach is to always attempt to make each party feel as though they have given and gotten something in the deal. That can take some creativity, but it has proven successful.
