Senior Scientist at Roche Molecular Systems
San Francisco Bay Area
I have spent the last 11 years (1997 - 2008) in the SF bay area working in the Biotech field. I have experience in many of today's best PCR machines (end point and real time PCR). I have extensive use of HPLC, liquid handlers, atomic absorption spectroscopy, UV spectrophotometry, and other analytical hardware. I also have some experience with mass spectroscopy (MALDI-TOF) and some HPLC/MASS.
Currently I work for Roche Molecular Systems developing new bloodscreening kits for the next generation of PCR hardware (targets include HIV, HCV, HBV and WNV). I have spent a month in Penzberg, Germany working to bring the new system to the US.
I am currently working on my PADI Divemaster rating. I have a lot of experience diving in California's Monterey area.
I have 3 years of German which has allowed me to work for Roche in Germany for a month.
I enjoy shooting clays and praticing my marksmanship out on the target range.
