Stephen Gale is an independent consultant providing business evaluation and due diligence services to financial institutions, and skilled counsel and assistance to businesses that are preparing for a funding event. Stephen received his MBA from the USC Marshall School of Business and has held executive positions with profit and loss and strategic development responsibility in both the Electronics and Software industries. During 2001, he formed Stephen Gale & Associates, a business development partnership.
Stephen works extensively with regional and community banks, performing over 500 field examinations and financial/operational audits to support commercial lending in the last four years. In addition, he has performed acquisition integration planning, implementation and post-change assessments in the banking industry.
Stephen also works with a small number of socially responsible, early stage companies who have grown to the point that they are preparing for a funding event. Typical clients have completed two or more rounds of venture financing and they are seeking to improve their operations and financial performance to qualify for a strategic investment, mezzanine financing or traditional bank financing, including asset based lending.

I was appoined to serve on the Board of Public Utilities by Gary Wysocky, City Council member for the City of Santa Rosa. The Board serves as the public agency with responsibility similar to a Board of Directors in the private sector. The BPU is responsibile for oversight and management of operations to provide water supply to the City of Santa Rosa and process wastewater at a regional facilitiy serving a number of Cities in Sonoma County, in a manner that meets all regulatory requirements imposed on such activities by all state and federal jurisdictions. I am a member of the Budget and Contract Review subcommittees of the BPU. The Board is responsible for execution of an annual budget totaling approximately $120 million.
