I work with Harrington College of Design as a Career Advisor with the Digital Photography and Communication Design programs. Making the switch from the Motion Picture Industry to Education is a big change for me. The main difference being that my Converse All Star shoe collection hasn’t been updated in weeks, because I now bring home Mary Jane pumps in varying finishes and styles.
Harrington College has allowed me to take on a pseudo life coach career that I often dream to have parallel my photography business. As a Career Advisor it’s my role to connect recent graduates to the real world of photography and communication design. I assist with resume writing, interviewing skills and portfolio development. I work closely with graduates helping them get their foot in the door.
Outside of Harrington, I am an editorial/advertising photographer. My personal work falls in the themes of social class, youth subcultures, and women.
I also serve on the Board of Directors for the Chicago/Midwest American Society of Media Photographers where I chair the Gallery Committee for Chicago.
