I researched and wrote an undergraduate honors thesis titled "Act-ualizing the Democratic Promise of American Public Education" (108 pp., hand-bound in an edition of 50).
As part of my undergraduate experience, I taught a self-designed experimental undergraduate seminar entitled "Education for Social Change." The seminar participants co-wrote and produced a book of creative student works (75 pp., hand-bound in an edition of 50).
I also built a book press with which I hand-bound and hand-sewed copies of my undergraduate thesis and seminar text. The book press is now being used to distribute personal writing projects, beginning summer 2009, with the zine "eyQ!", a compendium of autobiographical and fantastical writing, 2008-2009.
During my undergraduate education, I also participated in many research forums and conferences, in which I developed and presented my ideas on democratic and community-based education. These are detailed in my resume, which can be sent upon request.
