Stefano Marinelli’s Summary

I have been working in telecommunications companies more than 14 years and I joined Telefonica I+D in January 2007, in charge of Multilingualism and Speech Technology area. During 2008 I have been working in business development for South America market and in new services for fiber connected customers. Since april 2009 I'm leading a mobile 2.0 initiative.

In my professional career I have had the opportunity to work in different areas. I began in a company of Telecom Italia Group, doing radio links maintenance and Vodafone Italia's BTS installation.
In 1995, I joined Telecom Italia, working in HFC network systems management and data bases.
In 1998, Telecom Italia offered me to move for one year on secondment to Barcelona for Retevisión start-up. Here, I worked on provisioning and maintenance processes definition and implementation, on network systems management and data bases.
In 1999, I went back to Italy for 14 months, in charge of National Wholesale Customer Care. It was my first management role, an important change in my life, working on topics like personnel recruiting and management, logistics, union trade agreements, claims management and escalation, contractual SLA follow-up, etc.
In September 2000, I went once more to Spain in Retevisión (now called AUNA), in charge of Transport Network Technology (SDH, fiber, radio, WDM, etc.) until 2003, when it was created the AUNA-AMENA Group Innovation Center, where I was in charge of Service Trials group (implementing innovative trials on fixed, mobile and convergence services).
At the end of 2005, after ONO purchased AUNA, I joined ONO, in charge of Innovation Department.

In my private life, I like yoga, trekking, travel, music and dancing (tango and salsa).

I'm also involved in charity work issues in Barcelona and abroad.
