Stefanie was the Marketing & Corporate Event Planner for B & F Technical Code Services, Inc. She managed all aspects of the Marketing Department for the parent company, as well as its subsidiary, the Building & Fire Code Academy. She was responsible for corporate marketing & strategic plans, as well as reports and projection budgeting and has been recognized for her ability to “use resources effectively and efficiently.” She was responsible for maintaining the integrity of the corporate image. She worked to implement marketing campaigns including: planning & purchasing print advertising, managing tradeshows & special events, as well as all graphic design and included photography. In addition to these, Stefanie was responsible for corporate sponsorships and charitable gifts and for planning all corporate events. Stefanie worked closely with several departments, including HR and developed monthly posters for Wellness, Achievements, Living Green & Benefits Programs. SHORT-TERM CONTRACT
For this short-term contract, Stefanie managed the front-of-house (dining), kitchen and bar staff. She handled end-of-day accounting as well as scheduling needs. She played a part with employee hiring and termination as well customer relations and contributed to food and beverage ordering and processing. Planning private events, running food, satisfying customer complaints and even sometimes cooking were all part of this interesting job. In the absence of a front desk manager for the hotel, it was Stefanie’s responsibility to handle guest relations needing management approvals for them as well. A position Stefanie had always desired, she jumped at the opportunity to take on this contract assignment!

During Stefanie’s four years at the Examiner Publications, Stefanie managed a team of up to 15 reporters and 18 photographers. She managed all assignments, projects and deadlines. In addition, she was the Photo Editor for all seven newspapers (Streamwood, Bartlett, Hanover Park, Carol Stream, Wayne, St. Charles & South Elgin), and her duties included article writing, photography, copy and photo editing, and page layout. She was responsible for, and had complete layout authority over, cover-to-cover layout of the Streamwood Examiner which included front cover, back cover and center spread selections and color options, positioning of articles and placement of weekly ads and columns.
