ME graduate seeking career opportunities for August 2010
Greater Denver Area
With four years of design, build, and test experience on original designs I am on track to enter the workforce with a solid base of experience that would be an asset to any company.
My short term goal is to enter the unmanned systems industry or composite design and manufacturing sector as a design engineer. My interests include unmanned air vehicles (UAV's) and unmanned ground vehicles (UGV's) for both government and civil use as well as general product design. I especially enjoy mission design. i.e. payload or prototype design to fulfill specific mission/function goals.
I would like to find a company that provides a diverse experience in which I can work on projects from concept to test, and possibly gain experience in several different sectors such as aviation/aeronautics, transportation, robotics, renewable systems, and product design.
My long term goals include positions as systems engineer and project manager on a major unmanned systems team.

Project Manager of the UCD Mars Rocks Team. The purpose of the Mars Rocks competition is to design and build a remotely operated rover to venture out and retrieve "Mars Rocks". In doing this it must be capable of climbing over obstacles as large as 4"x4". Their are strict size limitations as the vehicle and control system must be able to fit in a box measuring no larger than 14.5"x6.5"x6.5".
