Stefaan Lesage’s Summary
Senior software developer with very good knowledge of Delphi and SQL Server. Additionally I'm quite fluent in 3 lenguages ( Dutch, English and French ) and German shouldn't cause all that many problems neither.
I am fond of Video Editing and am using Apple Computers to do that. Meanwhile I have grown out of iMovie and I have been using Final Cut Studio for a while now. So I also have a basic knowledge of FCP, Motion, Soundtrack Pro, Compressor, ... Some example can be found in my podcasts if interested.
Since a few years I've grown very interested in New Media Technologies (Podcasting, Video Podcasting), and I'm an active podcaster myself.
Stefaan Lesage’s Specialties:
Windows, VBA, Delphi, CVS, SVN, SQL Server, Access, Interbase, MIDAS, ADO, OLEDB, XML, ... are the things I'm using most often.
New Media Technologies, Podcasts & Video Podcasts
I can't call myself an expert in OS X, iLife, FCP, Motion, Soundtrack Pro, Compressor and many other OS X applications, but I'm getting good at using some of them.

Delphi Consultant
HDP
(Privately Held; Human Resources industry)
June 2008 — September 2009 (1 year 4 months)
The current project involves migrating decentralized data from a delphi application into a centralized Database. Additionally I was in charge of developing a SOAP Web Server which will allow customers to send their data to the Web Server which will then process everything an update the database where necessary.

PeopleWare
(Privately Held; Information Technology and Services industry)
August 2006 — July 2008 (2 years )
Delphi consultancy at Balta, where my primary task is to help in the development of their development framework. Again the development is done in Delphi 7 using Developer Express components and data stored in an SQL Server 2000 database. The development framework makes extesive use of run time packages. Some of my other projects I worked on for balta include software which is used in the Production process and which communicates with PLC ( both Omnimark and Hitachi ) using dOPC components in Delphi.

PeopleWare N.V.
(Privately Held; 11-50 employees; Computer Software industry)
November 2001 — August 2006 (4 years 10 months)
During this period I developed our PIF ( Peopleware Interfaced Framework ) which we started to use in many different projects during these years. The PIF was created using Delphi 7. Using many OTA wizards I wrote, the framework allowed us to develop applications in a more standardized way. Although each project required it's own GUI, the framework helped us to build the different screens and parts of the projects independantly from each other. Once all building blocks were created using the Framework, it was actually quite easy to combine them and thus build applications rather quickly. The PIF has been used in many different projects and evolved to a very powerful system. My main taks here was the development of the framework and its wizards, creating basic building blocks for the different projects and helping on the technical side of things.

Technical Project Leader / Developer
Peopleware
(Privately Held; 11-50 employees; Information Technology and Services industry)
July 2001 — November 2002 (1 year 5 months)
The project which was started for this customer, was quite similar in architecture to the preceding project. Again the MIDAS technology was used to build a centralized Application Server and Thin Clients that were distributed nationally. This time the application server accessed a Microsoft SQL Server 2000 database using the ADO components in Delphi.

Peopleware
(Privately Held; 11-50 employees; Information Technology and Services industry)
September 2000 — November 2001 (1 year 3 months)
During the support of an existing application, it clear that the architecture used was the main source of the performance problems. The client decided to leave the existing architecture and application the way it was, and to start a new project. This time a 3 tier architecture was developed by PeopleWare. The architecture was built around Borland’s Midas components. A new Application Server was built that runs at the Central Office in Brussels, and a thin client was developed that made a connection to the central application server. The application server contained all business logic and all necessary code to access the Oracle database server using ODAC components. The client application became much lighter and by using this technique the business logic became centralized and easier to maintain.

The last two years I created a small WMS system to handle a new customer ( Volvo Penta ). The system consisted of a binning / packing and shiping module and used the existing data we received from Volvo Penta. From here the parts were stored in the Warehouse, and picked using a JIT principle. After the picking process, the goods were packed and shipped using different transporters.
