I have been in the home building industry for over 25 years. In 2002 I started Stearns Custom Homes. Before that I owned my own framing company. At SCH we have been building high quality homes since the beginning. I tell people that "I've been building green since 92" because I have always used techniques that are now considered "green." I've always used these techniques because together they constitute the right way to build a home. When the green home craze started all I had to do was start documenting my existing practices.
