Project Manager for Rockhurst's VMWare Virtual Desktop Infrastructure deployment, which rolled out 230 VDI enabled thin clients to 18 campus computer labs.
This project has been featured in multiple publications including the Kansas City Star and Inside Higher Education. It also won a 2009 Computerworld Honors Program Laureate Award for using information technology to benefit society. The project has also been the subject of numerous case studies and has attracted world wide attention.
Currently leading migration of anti-virus providers for 800 systems from McAfee Enterprise Anti-Virus to Microsoft Forefront Client Security. Develops methodologies and policies for optimum deployment.
Assisted in upgrade of Faculty/Staff email infrastructure from Exchange 2003 to Exchange 2007, as well as the migration of student email from locally hosted Exchange to externally hosted Microsoft Exchange Labs (now called Outlook Live.)
Responsible for: administrating campus wide enterprise anti-virus system powered by McAfee Enterprise ePolicy Orchestrator; monitoring server backup operations with across Windows, Linux and VMS operating systems; managing Cisco NAC requirements for students as well as residence hall network switches and wireless access points. Manages Active Directory and Group Policy settings for 800+ endpoints, ranging from desktop to mobile as well as thin client systems. Assists network administrator in maintenance of campus servers and networking equipment.
Deployed and maintains department website at http://help.rockhurst.edu running on open source technologies such as Drupal, PHP and Ubuntu Linux.
