I am a professional business coach, and founder of AssistU—the premier organization committed to training, coaching, supporting and certifying Virtual Assistants, and providing referrals to those clients who want to work with them.
When I formalized the Virtual Assistance industry in 1997 by founding AssistU, I started something that, I’m pleased to say, has grown and thrived—there are now organizations for VAs on many continents, and thousands of people doing this work, or something very much like it. I love my role today as advocate for the industry, and I work tirelessly to blaze a trail for all those interested in this way of working. Today, the question is still, “What is a VA,” but more and more frequently, the question is becoming, “Who is your VA.” I look forward to the day when that second question is the only one of the two being asked.
I’m passionate about supporting people in the building of financially sound businesses and the creation of high-quality lives. It really is this passion that led me to build AssistU—both the first organization anywhere for VAs, and their first member’s association/community/social network. I’m also the official Virtual Assistance Guide for Selfgrowth.com, and the business foundations and virtual work expert for The International Association of Solopreneurs.
In addition, I’m committed to the magic of community. Relationships, for me, are where all the “juice” is. It’s my belief that in sharing we create community, and in community we find the strength and heart to follow our dreams. In myI’ve helped foster strong community through American Online’s Community Leader Association, Women’s U (the first virtual educational community created by, for, and about contemporary women), and today I help women with existing online continuity programs add community to them for sustainability. I also consult with and guide women who want to build community into their already-existing business structures.
• Helping people create strong, sustainable, and profitable businesses with firm foundations, high standards, and bright futures.
• Helping people with glimmers of ideas envision them fully and then bring them to life.
• Helping people see, then birth What’s Next for them
• Being a strong, intuitive guide—helping people who want to work with VAs find and connect with the best ones. I do this exclusively through Registry Gold at AssistU.
• Building/nurturing community.
