My primary research interest is distributed systems, and my primary focus has been distributed management systems. In addition, I have done lot of work on Web services, E-science, and Grid in last few years. In general, I am interested in problems related to distributed architectures, distributed communication models (e.g. Pub/Sub system, P2P systems, Group communications, gossip), and their scalability characteristics.
My expertise are in Web Services and Distributed Systems (System Management, E-Science, and Grid). I have been involved with Apache Web service project since 2002. I am a member of Apache Software foundation, PMC member of Apache Web Service project, committer of Apache Axis, Axis2, and Geronimo, and a co-founder of Apache Axis2. At Indiana University, I have been involved with a large-scale E-Science project called LEAD, Linked Environments for Atmospheric Discovery.
