Technology and programming fascinate me. I have spent my career working in many different areas of computing, including general programming, web application development, consulting, and I.T. administration. I'm a firm believer in constantly learning new languages, methodologies, and technologies, and finding new ways to apply them in one's work.
In 2006 I entered a PhD program at Tufts University where I studied machine learning, data mining, and social network analysis (e.g. predicting connections). I had an excellent time and learned a great deal. However, my true passion is coding, particularly of web applications; I love producing quality products that people actively use. As a result, I left Tufts after earning my Masters and have recently joined the talented developers at Cantina Consulting.

While a student, the job was assigned to me to help cover tuition. I was given it because of my background, as opposed to being a T.A. Developed several web-based software applications for the Tufts Community. These included a Flex- based virtual soundboard for use in music courses, and a video annotation application based on the AJAX technique.
