Stephanie Sigal, M.A. CCC-SLP, provides evaluations and treatment for children with a variety of speech (articulation), language, oral-motor and feeding difficulties. Stephanie created Say and Play in March 2004. It was clear that parents wanted to facilitate their children's speech and language development but often did not know how to do so. After working for 15 years in the field, 9 of those years with families in New York City, Stephanie knew that it was time to launch unique, customized programs to enable all parents and caregivers to enrich their child's communication.
Stephanie is a Speech-Language Pathologist licensed to practice in New York. Prior to going into private practice, she was on staff at Duke University Medical Center and NYU Medical Center. She has consulted for the Early Intervention Program of Stepping Stone Day School. Stephanie is a certified member of ASHA (American Speech-Language-Hearing Association) and is PROMPT and DIR® / Floortime™ (Stanley Greenspan's method) trained. She was selected to study oral-motor / muscle-based speech therapy under the supervision of Sara Rosenfeld-Johnson, an innovative leader in oral-motor treatment during the summer of 2006 at Talktools™ in Tucson, Arizona.
