I am presently the Managing Director of Disability Group, Inc., a national law firm representing disabled clients in obtaining benefits under the Social Security Laws.
From 1993 to 2003, I founded and successfully created the nation’s largest criminal defense firm, Miller & Associates, with over 200 attorneys practicing in 50 States. In pioneering the concept of a "virtual law firm" using twenty-first century communications technology, I creatively found a way to deliver higher quality legal services in the business-to-consumer market.
From 1989 to 1993, I served as the President of ElS/Vista Environmental Information Systems a company I founded to produce electronic reports identifying toxic waste sites for the real estate finance industry. In connection with this company, I became an expert in environmental risk assessments and served as committee chair for the ASTM standard on real estate site assessments. I also was adjunct faculty Professor at University of California Riverside, University of California San Diego and University of Wisconsin at Madison. I founded the company, secured endorsements from the American Banking Association, which was then acquired by the Stewart Title Insurance Company, and then ultimately was taken public in 1995.
From 1987 to 1989, I was an attorney with Dykema Gossett, Michigan's largest law firm with over 400 attorneys. At Dykema Gossett, I practiced real estate and environmental law.
From 1979 to 1985, I was the President of A-l Cleaning Systems, a company I ultimately sold and remains in business as of 2004
