Coordinator for the after school computer technology based clubhouse serving youth ages 10-18. Clubhouse features professional level digital photography, music recording, film and video editing, graphic design, game design, robotics software and more... The Clubhouse is a place where young people from underserved communities work with adult mentors to explore their own ideas, develop skills, and build confidence in themselves through the use of technology.
Our goal is to guide youth to be actively creating in these technologies not just consumers. The Clubhouse supports members in planning for the future and realizing their potential.
Unfortunately, due to funding difficulties, Little Haiti Housing is closing their Computer Clubhouse as of August 2008.

I created, implemented and oversaw communications programs to effectively describe and promote the Temple; produced in-house graphic needs, including monthly newsletters, Annual Gala & Member Directory, special event and holiday programs and flyers, newspaper ads, T-shirts and other promotional products. Often these were deadline driven projects so I am comfortable working in a fast paced environment. I was responsible for writing Press Releases and media contact. I worked on a PC platform using Adobes; InDesign, Pagemaker, Illustrator Acrobat and Photoshop.

My on the job experience at Kinko’s included assisting customers on rental computers, both Mac and PC platforms. This position required: customer service, individual computer assistance, problem solving, order taking and up selling of our services. This individualized service resulted in my department quickly becoming “Number One” in the district as well as the region and remaining in that # 1 position as long as I was in charge. I worked with most of the Microsoft Office programs as well as graphic design and desktop publishing programs. I received numerous customer appreciation letters. I also attended multiple training classes, in graphics, production and classes in Moving into Management.
