Assisted with the administration of many HP-UX, Linux, and Solaris systems. This included routine maintenance and non-routine work as well.
Designed several systems and applications that became vital components to the University's IT arsenal. Examples include designing and developing the account management and directory lookup system, designing and co-developing a host registration and network management system, and developing many other smaller niche tools to fit specific needs.
Assited with some simple networking work, including troubleshooting network issues involving the Unix servers, detecting some network attacks, maintaining and troubleshooting the campus DNS and DHCP services.
