• Sole compliance engineer most recently supporting the Channel Platforms Group doing notebook enabling, driving industry standard chassis, mobile boards and common building block key components to local OEMs worldwide. Previously supported numerous other businesses including the Optical, Desktop, Consumer Electronics and the Reseller Products Groups with products such as optical transceivers, desktop and media center PCs, workstations, motherboards, processors, modems, access points, gateways.
• Hands-on and full responsibility for EMC, product safety, laser safety, telecom and wireless domestic and international certifications for the products supported. Also responsible for product ecology environmental compliance; submissions of FDA / CDRH laser product reports and annual reports; test house/agency submittals; and factory audit inspections.
• Primary individual responsible for RoHS environmental compliance of optical/laser products and previously for motherboard products. Sole issuer of IPC 1752 material declarations for these businesses.
• Authored white papers on product safety caution and warning instructions and markings; U.S. product regulations requirements; international SAR RF human exposure requirements; and telecom certification procedures for the U.S., Canada and the EU.
