I'm a geek.......what can I say?? I started playing with computers back in the old Apple IIe days. I remember our first PC at home was the original IBM green screen PC with two low density 5.25 drives and 64K of memory. From there I just started breaking systems and then would figure out how to fix them on my own. Of course I've had a considerable amount of training since then ;-)
My main professional experience was the seven years I spent with Brinker Intl. I started there as an intern on the Y2K project and they couldn't get rid of me. During that time I would moonlight as a home and SMB support geek and honed those skills. Then in July of 2006 I left Brinker to take on the challenge of being a small business owner and turned my moonlighting career into a full-time job.
As far as my profession goals go........I want to take the knowledge and skills that have been developed and put them to good use for SMB's and home users because they typically don't have the resources to have their own IT staffs. That is unless one is living at home (you're welcome Mom and Dad!).
