The Causemopolitan is a blog and my platform to talk about what I'm doing, where I'm at and what's next. The overview is "Reflections on philanthropy, social entrepreneurship and how to live a cause-filled life." It's much more than that though as sometimes I'm talking about music festivals, writing stories about my family or discussing my latest venture. In Fall, 2009, The Causemopolitan will expand to include services, so stay tuned.

Answer With Action is a boutique social action agency that focuses on connecting people to causes. In 2007 and 2008, Answer With Action threw volunteer and networking events for socially conscious young professionals in the Los Angeles area. By connecting like-minded people in activities that had both "giving back" and "having fun" activities, professionals were more likely to donate their time again and also donate financially or get their companies involved on a in-kind basis.
In addition, Answer With Action created fundraising structures for nonprofits and "culture of giving" strategy for for-profit ventures. AWA also planned events and fundraisers for nonprofits in Los Angeles including golf tournaments, art walks and auctions.

When a child is diagnosed with a serious illness, the day-to-day joys of childhood take a back seat to the rigors of treatment and hospitalization. For more than 25 years, Starlight Children’s Foundation has dedicated itself to improving the quality of life for children with chronic and life-threatening illnesses and life-altering injuries by providing entertainment, education and family activities that help them cope with the pain, fear and isolation of prolonged illness.
Unlike any other charity, Starlight offers a comprehensive menu of outpatient, hospital-based and Web offerings that enable us to provide ongoing support for children and families — from diagnosis through the entire course of medical treatment.
