Nina Bargiel wrote the ARG (Alternate Reality Game) for MTV/MTV.com's series "Valemont" which premiered September 29 on MTV.
ValemontU.com is a transmedia experience, taking place across multiple platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, VerizonSMS and the ValemontU.com site.
NewTeeVee wrote:
"But what’s most notable about the show is the ARG component....the material is dense, fun to explore and well-developed....This is the sort of transformative experience that separates TV shows you can watch on the Internet from truly new media."
--Liz Shannon Miller, NewTeeVee.com "MTV's Valemont Doesn't Pander to the Vampire Craze." October 15, 2009
She also created the web content at wokeupdead.tv for Sony, Crackle & EFE's "Woke Up Dead" starring Jon Heder & Josh Gad. She wrote the finale of the web series (along with series creator John Fasano.)
Recently, Nina spoke at Jeff Pulver's 140 Conference in Los Angeles on "How I Became a Zombie on Twitter," about her experience juggling the Twitter accounts of ten different characters within "Woke Up Dead" and "Valemont."
Along with her web series work, Nina has ten years of television writing experience, writing for Disney Channel's tween hit "Lizzie McGuire" as well as Cartoon Network's "Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy."
Her experience as a writer both in traditional media and transmedia give her a unique perspective as the face of entertainment changes and adapts.
While currently working with Electric Farm Entertainment, Nina is available for freelance and consulting projects.
(If you've made it this far, Nina thinks talking about herself in the third person is creepy. But Nina did it anyway.)
